What’s changed?

We have improved our support structures, and now they are meticulously designed to be thinner and customized to the size of each miniature. 

For 32 mm miniatures, we now have supports with a thickness of 0.5 mm; for 75mm miniatures, the supports are 0.7 mm thick; and for larger pieces, we employ 1 mm thick supports. This customization allows easier removal of supports and contributes to resin and FDM conservation. The benefits of these optimized support structures are many:

Preservation of Fine Details 

Thinner supports minimize contact with the model’s surface, and that reduces the risk of blemishes or imperfections when removing your piece. This is crucial for maintaining the intricate details in your minis.

Easy Removal

Customized support thickness ensures that supports can be removed with minimal effort, decreasing the chance of damaging delicate and thin parts of the mini.

Resin Efficiency 

By tailoring the 3D printing support structures to the specific size of each miniature, we reduce unnecessary resin usage, making the printing process more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Also, when properly optimized, supports provide the right stability during printing, reducing the chances of print failures due to inadequate support, especially in areas with more details or complex features.

Improved Surface Finish

Besides, carefully designed supports lead to smoother surfaces on the final print, as there is less material to remove and, thus, fewer opportunities for surface damaging.
